Man dies after multi-vehicle crash at Wilton

A report will be prepared for the coroner after a man died following a multi-vehicle crash at Wilton on Thursday.

About 3pm, on October 14, emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving up to 10 vehicles in the northbound lanes of the Hume Motorway, just south of Picton Road.

The driver of a Mitsubishi Fuso - 43-year-old man - was trapped inside his vehicle.

He was released by Fire and Rescue NSW and treated by paramedics, however died at the scene.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene. Five drivers from other vehicles involved in the crash were taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.

The Crash Investigation Unit have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
