Mayor's Gala Dinner

I was honoured to be able to inform the wonderful staff at Mary Brooksbank School that we were able to donate $57,000 to help them build a new inclusive playground from the Mayor's Charity Gala Dinner.

Sadly, we weren't able to enjoy a great night of festivities with staff and families from the school but the most important thing is that the kids will now be able to benefit from the playground.

Mary Brooksbank is a proud school that provides a supportive environment and vital education for children with special needs from Kindergarten to Year 12.

I'd like to give a special shout out to our sponsors who were incredibly generous and without whose support, we would not have been able to raise this money.

Thank you to Campbelltown Mall, Dahua Group, Wests Leagues Club, Cameron Brae, Marsdens Law Group and Macarthur FC who have all shown the spirit of community which makes our city such a wonderful place to live.

Easing restrictions

With health restrictions easing to allow an extra hour of exercise in our LGA for people who have received both vaccination doses, it's a great opportunity to get out an explore some of our reserves and take in some of the beautiful scenery we have here in Campbelltown.

Keep an eye on Council's Facebook and Instagram pages for some tips on the best locations around.

History uncovered

Our Local Studies team at the library have done a great job putting together a new history project to showcase Queen Street's past.

It's a great read for anyone interested in the places and characters who contributed so much to our city. It adds to a wealth of information that already exists on our website about Campbelltown's history.
