Winterfest Camden cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions

Winterfest Camden was set to make a cool return this year but the popular event has been cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The popular winter-themed event was also cancelled last year due to the ongoing pandemic.

A Camden Council spokesman said all ice skating ticket holders would be refunded.

The festival was expected to make its return at Onslow Oval from Friday, July 2 to Sunday, July 4.

However, it was later postponed to the weekend of July 23 to July 25.

Camden Council has now announced that the event will be cancelled all together due to the current stay-at-home orders.

Campbelltown Council announced last month that it's winter event, Chill Fest, would also be delayed.

"We're disappointed to announce the opening of Chill Fest - Campbelltown's Winter Festival has been delayed while the current health restrictions remain in place," the council posted on Facebook.

"We've made this decision with the community's safety in mind and will review the situation next week."
