Police charge fifth person in relation to Eagle Vale stabbing

A 19-year-old man is now the fifth person to be charged following investigations into the stabbing of a man at Eagle Vale earlier this month.

Emergency services were called to a sporting complex at Eagle Vale Drive on May 2 following reports of a brawl and located a man with multiple stab wounds.

Police say the man, 21, was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he underwent surgery and has since been released.

Following inquiries, a 19-year-old man attended Campbelltown Police Station today (Friday, May 14) where he was arrested.

Police say he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger as required.

He was refused bail and will appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.

Investigations are ongoing.
