Grab your bikes and skateboards - a new pump track is now open in Campbelltown.
The brand new facility at Leumeah Skate Park, Hollylea Reserve, was officially opened with a fun day on Saturday.
Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic said it was great to see people enjoying the new facility.
"This was an idea I had a couple of years ago, to have a BMX pump track here in Campbelltown," he said in a video posted to Facebook.
"It's now come to fruition here at Woodbine, Leumeah.
"It's part of the skate park facility, so you can go from the skate park to the BMX pump track. It's great for all the young people, great to be outdoors."
Cr Brticevic said the council staff had done a wonderful job on the pump track project.
He said new LED light towers would be installed soon, and the existing light towers at the skate park would be retrofitted with LED lights as well.
The new facility cost $580,000, and was built because of community interest.
"The skate park precinct has always been a popular place in Campbelltown to gather and there are many people around now with their own kids who have fond memories of spending their younger years there," Cr Brticevic said.
"We listened to people during the consultation period and the track has been designed with varying difficulty levels and a jump line that will test even the most advanced riders."
