Campbelltown Matters with George Brticevic: Anzac Day services and Koalas

Anzac Day services

Anzac Day services will be held this Sunday 25 April at Mawson Park.

The dawn service will begin at 5.30am and the main service will be held at 9am.

We were delighted to support the Campbelltown RSL Sub Branch in holding an online service during the COVID-19 health situation last year but it will be wonderful to see the services return with people attending.

Due to restrictions on the number of people attending outdoor public gatherings you'll have to register to attend so get in early and RSVP on Council's website.

Hello Koalas

See the award-winning Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail before it leaves Campbelltown at the end of April.

There are 22 fibreglass koala sculptures scattered across Campbelltown, including 16 which are on display at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and six at locations across Campbelltown.

The one-metre sculptures are on loan from the popular Port Macquarie Hello Koalas Sculpture trail and were designed and painted by Australian artists blending themes of art, culture, heritage and environment.

The koalas will be leaving Campbelltown after Friday 30 April so plan your day out around Campbelltown before they leave town.

Cheer on the Bulls

Get down to Campbelltown Stadium this Saturday for a big clash between Macarthur FC and Melbourne City. The A-League season is getting closer to the finals series and the Bulls are still in with a great shout to finish top of the ladder and take out the premiership. It's a great start to the inaugural season.

Melbourne have a good team and have been in great form so it should make for a cracking game.
