ANZ branches across Australia will close this year as more customers turn to online banking.
More than 10 branches will close in NSW including the major bank's Engadine location.
ANZ general manager for NSW Michael Wake said the Engadine branch would close on April 7.
"We have found in recent years customers prefer the convenience of doing their banking when it suits them and increasingly they are choosing to use our ANZ App and call centres," he said.
"Last year alone 70 per cent of our customers preferred digital banking options.
"There is a clear trend of services moving online across Australia, including services such as Medicare and the Australian Taxation Office.
"We do however recognise the transition to digital banking will be more challenging for some customers."
Mr Wake said customers would be notified and informed about all the alternatives they have available, including specialist teams in their region who can help them.
"These teams can discuss alternative banking methods, including online, telephone and mobile banking and can tailor banking solutions to make this transition as simple as possible," he said.
"We are committed to working with branch staff to find new roles or redeployment opportunities for those staff who wish to stay with ANZ.
"For all employees who leave, we provide access to unlimited career coaching and outplacement support as well as access to our career training fund.
"Where people face financial hardship after leaving ANZ, we will provide access to our Past Employee Care Fund to support them."
Mr Wake said Engadine customers who wish to continue banking face-to-face can do so at ANZ's Sutherland branch, located 6.5kms away.
