Blair Athol supermarket employees allegedly threatened with gun in robbery overnight

A Blair Athol supermarket was allegedly robbed by a man carrying a firearm last night.

Police have appealed for public assistance following the alleged armed robbery on The Kraal Drive about 8.30pm.

Campbelltown police were told a man armed with a silver handgun threatened two supermarket employees before leaving the store with a sum of money.

He was last seen allegedly running on The Kraal Drive.

Both employees were shaken but uninjured during the alleged robbery.

Officers established a crime scene and began an investigation. They would like to speak to a man they believe can assist with inquiries.

He is described as 175 to 180 cemtimetres tall, of slim build, wearing a black, long-sleeved Nike spray jacket, dark navy track pants, white joggers and a blue medical face mask with dark sunglasses.

Anyone who may have information, dashcam footage or CCTV video from the area and its surrounds at the time of the incident have been urged to contact Campbelltown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
