Police investigate alleged assault of 71-year-old Bradbury man

Police inquiries are ongoing into the alleged assault of a man in Bradbury last night.

Campbelltown City Police Area Command officers have been told five men were involved in a fight on the street at St Johns Road, Bradbury, at 6.30pm on Tuesday, August 11.

A 71-year-old man was allegedly punched to the ground then kicked and punched by four men before bystanders intervened and called emergency services.

The four men left the scene before police arrived.

The Bradbury man remains in Liverpool Hospital where he's being treated for a suspected broken jaw and facial fractures, severe swelling and bruising, a suspected dislocated right shoulder and abrasions to his head and body.

Police established a crime scene and an investigation is underway.
