Tigers players cleared to play tonight

Three Wests Tigers players and two officials have been cleared after undergoing mandatory Covid-19 tests.

Popular winger David Nofoaluma, from Ruse, prop Josh Aloiai and development squad member Zac Cini, along with NRL assistant coach (and club legend) Brett Hodgson and video analyst Simon Dwyer were required to be tested for the coronavirus yesterday, as their residential areas all fall in the south-west.

The south-west is the site of a Covid-19 cluster which broke out of the Crossroads Hotel at Casula, and started with a Victorian man.

All five players' tests returned negative results.

This means Nofoaluma and Aloiai are cleared to play in tonight's clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Leichhardt Oval.

The game kicks off at 7.55pm.
