Get ready to feast on some multicultural goodies at Campbelltown Council's new event, Light Up the Lane.

Macarthur residents are invited to a multicultural celebration of their community at street fair on Saturday, February 1.

The free event will be held from 5pm to 9pm in Erica Lane where the streetscape will be brought to life with a variety of activities and games for local families to enjoy.

Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic invited residents to come along and enjoy a night of family-friendly fun.

"It's great to see spaces like Erica Lane brought to life with a community event like this," he said.

"Minto is a really vibrant multicultural community and I'd encourage everyone to come down and experience the performances and music of the various cultural groups we have in Minto."

Light Up the Lane is being organised by Uniting Minto, a new group of local residents who will organise events and activities to promote the vibrant community in the area, with support from the council.

The event forms part of Council's Love Minto project.

Beautification works have been completed in Erica Lane to help bring more vibrancy to Minto and celebrate its diversity.

Children can take part in a free art competition at the event.

A fundraiser will also be held on the night to raise money for bushfire affected communities.
