Two teenagers have been arrested in Macarthur and charged as part of ongoing police investigations into theft offences.
NSW Police formed Strike Force Arpen in June to investigate numerous thefts from retail stores across the Sydney metropolitan area.
Strike force officers searched a home on O'Meally Place, Harrington Park, about 7am today (Wednesday, August 14). Officers seized electronic devices and other items allegedly linked with theft offences.
A man, 19, was arrested at the home and taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with three counts of larceny; having goods in custody; and participating in a criminal group.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton local court on September 10.
A 14-year-old male was also arrested about 11.10am today at Campbelltown Police Station. The teen was already in custody at the station.
He was was charged with five counts of larceny; and participating in a criminal group.
He was returned to a correctional facility and is set to face a children's court on August 26.
Strike Force Arpen consists of investigators from the north west, south west and central metropolitan region commands and the State Crime Command's Criminal Groups Squad.
