Regular shoppers at ALDI Ambarvale will have to make alternative arrangements between Wednesday, August 21 and Wednesday, September 4 as the store undergoes a variety of upgrades to improve the shopping experience.
The renovations will bring the Woodhouse Drive store in line with the new ALDI store format being rolled out nation-wide.
The improvements will include better product displays, improved navigation and modern styling.
The changes come after extensive store trials in South Australia and Western Australia.
"While we're delighted to be introducing these innovations, we want our customers to know they won't lead to higher prices," an ALDI spokesperson said.
"Low prices are a big deal for ALDI.
"In fact, we refuse to be beaten on price.
"This is our fundamental point of difference and one we will never give away."
New features include redesigned shelving, expanded wooden produce bays, as well as extended energy-efficient chillers.
While ALDI Ambarvale closes temporarily, shoppers can visit ALDI Macarthur Square, ALDI Campbelltown Mall or ALDI Blair Athol for all of their grocery needs.
ALDI Ambarvale will continue to be supported by a team of 15-20 permanent full and part-time employees, providing a unique and rewarding career opportunity in retail.
Opening hours will also continue to be 8:30am-8pm Monday to Friday, with extended trading hours until 9pm Thursday. For more information on ALDI Australia, please visit www.aldi.com.au
