Gregory Hills disqualified driver caught twice after leaving Picton court

A Gregory Hills man will face court today on disqualified driving charges.

The man, 66, was caught allegedly driving following a court appearance for the same offence.

The man left Picton local court yesterday (Tuesday, August 13) and police allege got into a Toyota Corolla and drove away.

Strike Force Puma and South West Metropolitan Region Highway Patrol officers were notified.

Liverpool Highway Patrol officers stopped a Toyota Corolla on Cowpasture Road, Green Valley about 3.45pm yesterday.

Officers spoke with the driver and identified him as the same man who earlier appeared at the Picton Local Court.

Polices issued him a court attendance notice for driving while disqualified.

The same vehicle was stopped after police observed the car travelling along The Heritage Way, Gledswood Hills about 8.45pm yesterday.

The man was again identified as the same man and was arrested.

He was later charged with driving while disqualified - a second and subsequent offence.

The man was refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown local court today (Wednesday, August 14).

Traffic and Highway Patrol Command's Strike Force Puma officers have seized the man's Toyota Corolla.
