The Wests Tigers will aim to secure their third successive win this weekend.
The Tigers sit in ninth spot on the NRL ladder after sealing close wins over the South Sydney Rabbitohs (14-9) and North Queensland Cowboys (27-26).
But the side will face a stern test when it hosts the Sydney Roosters at Bankwest Stadium on Friday night.
Tigers coach Michael Maguire told reporters at a press conference that his side had found ways to win "ugly" in its past two games.
"But that's what the competition is all about," he said.
"We play a big team next week, but at the end of day it's about looking at things we can do and what we can be better at."
It took a magnificent, 50-metre solo run and try from Michael Chee Kam to guide the Tigers to victory over the Rabbitohs last Thursday night.
It was the second time this year that Chee Kam had scored the match-winning try for the Tigers.
Back in April, Chee Kam dived over late to round out a 22-16 win over the Brisbane Broncos.
