The Narellan Jets sprung a huge surprise with a 34-24 win over the Thirlmere Roosters at Thirlmere Sportsground on Sunday.

The match marked round 11 of the Group 6 first grade competition.

The Jets took control early and kept it for most of the game.

Narellan centre Jackson Kuli opened the score after four minutes.

Jets prop Jayden Lang then scored a first half double.

He scored his first try after 15 minutes, before adding another try 10 minutes later.

Winger Jarrod Forrest scored a brilliant try in the corner after 33 minutes. Sol Kamuta then added his name to the try scoring list on the stroke of half time to give the Jets a 28-0 lead.

Thirlmere was fired up at half time by coach Jake Mullaney, who would have been very frustrated with the form from his side.

Whatever he said seemed to work as the Roosters scored first in the second half through Raka Poaru in the 43rd minute.

Narellan five-eighth Luke Rouland scored the next try to give his side a 26-point lead.

Thirlmere youngster Dylan Cooper scored on debut, before team mates Dayne Craig and Baily Narin also scored to cut the deficit to 34-24.

The other round 11 results saw The Oaks defeat Campbelltown City 30-24 and Oakdale upset Mittagong 42-10.
