A man will face court today after he allegedly committed sexual acts on himself and stalked a teenage girl in Glenfield.
A 13-year-old girl was walking home from school on Magee Lane about 3.15pm yesterday (Monday, June 24) when an unknown man called out to get her attention. He was allegedly carrying out a sex act on himself.
The girl hurried through the laneway to get away from the man, but he followed her.
The girl contacted her mother as she walked along Trafalgar Street. Her mother called police while she hid in a nearby home.
Campbelltown Police Area Command officers arrived a short time later, but the man had fled the scene.
Police spoke with the girl and did an extensive search of the area, arresting the man on Railway Parade about 4.30pm.
The man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station and, after arriving in the custody area, he allegedly continue to commit sexual acts on himself.
The Glenfield man was subsequently charged with intentionally doing a sexual act in front of a child aged between 10 and 16, stalking/intimidating intending fear and harm, and carrying out a sexual act with another without consent.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown local court today (Tuesday, June 25).
