A new networking organisation for Macarthur women in business has just been launched - and you're invited to be involved.
Victress Connection was developed by local business leaders Emma Macfarlane, Angela Martinez, Sue Scobie and Leanne Wolf to plug a hole they saw in Macarthur's business community.
"The four of us came together because we noticed a bit of a gap in the offering Macarthur has in professional development groups for women in business," Ms Macfarlane said. "There are a lot of networking groups in the region but we thought we had something different to provide in the development of local Macarthur business women."
Ms Macfarlane said the Macarthur business community was already highly connected and supportive and she believed Victress would build on that foundation.
"Macarthur's business women are passionate and very driven," she said.
"Victress will build up skills and relationships within the community.
"Members can refer clients to their peers or recommend skills that would be beneficial for other people.
"Businesses thrive when they work together rather than individually."
Ms Macfarlane said the directors were looking for business owners, managers and rising stars to join the ranks and see Victress grow.
The first business breakfast, with special guest speaker Nikki Heald (of Corptraining), will be held at August 6 at Rydges Campbelltown.
