Crash on M7 near Horsley Park

UPDATE (4.40pm):

There are further delays on the M7 for motorists following a second crash this afternoon.

The crash, between a truck and car, occurred near Wallgrove Road about 4.30pm on Tuesday, June 11.

Southbound traffic flow is affected.

There are delays on the M7 for Macarthur-bound motorists following a car crash this afternoon.

The incident occurred near The Horsley Drive about 3.40pm on Tuesday, June 11.

A Transport Management Centre spokesperson said a car overturned on the motorway.

One northbound lane was closed for some time, but has since re-opened.

"Northbound traffic is very heavy and queued around 11km so motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time," the spokesperson said.

"All southbound lanes of the M7 are open, but traffic also remains heavy in this direction."

Emergency service crews remain on site and are working to clear the crash.

Motorists should expect delays and allow extra travel time.
