Some of Macarthur's best soccer talent will face off in two friendly exhibition matches this weekend.

The Macarthur Football Association (MFA) will hold its annual City versus Country matches at Lynwood Park, St Helens Park on Saturday, June 8.

MFA chairman Darcy Lound said the Campbelltown area's top male and female players would represent City against "Country" players from Camden and Wollondilly.

Lound said the City versus Country concept had run for "eight or nine years" and was a popular event on the MFA calendar.

"The day brings association clubs together and highlights the top players from across the association," he said.

The City versus Country women's game will kick off at 5pm, followed by the men's game at 7.30pm.

Lound said the MFA asked for a gold coin on entry and funds raised would go to the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation.
