Disqualified St Helens Park driver caught behind wheel again by police

A disqualified St Helens Park driver has been caught behind the wheel again by police.

Officers were patrolling the Campbelltown area on Tuesday (April 23) about 1pm when they observed a white Toyota Tarago with known links to the disqualified driver.

Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the 47-year-old man. They confirmed he was already disqualified from driving until 2053.

The St Helens Park man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was refused bail and appeared before Campbelltown Local Court yesterday (Wednesday, April 24).

NSW Police recently launched Strike Force Puma and have conducted covert operations across the region.

Strike Force Puma targets disqualified or drivers deemed to be "high risk", with the objective of creating safer roads for the community.
