The last days of elderly Melbourne woman Vicki Ramadan remain a mystery as police investigate her brutal bashing death in her own home.
Detectives on Tuesday said there are no mobile phone or internet records, nor any credit card transactions, to help confirm when the 77-year-old was last alive.
A neighbour found Ms Ramadan dead, with serious injuries, in her Sydenham kitchen on April 6 about 9.45am. She was believed to have been dead for days.
A number of squatters living in a nearby house have been interviewed by investigators. Police previously confirmed Ms Ramadan had lodged complaints about the squatters in the months leading up to her death.
Forensic experts on Tuesday returned to Ms Ramadan's home on Tuesday to search for evidence, Homicide Squad Detective Senior Sergeant Pixie Fuhrmeister said.
"We believe we know when she died, but we want to make sure there's nothing else we're not aware of," she said.
Police are yet to locate a weapon and Det Furhmeister would not be drawn on what kind of instrument was used in the killing.
An information caravan has been set up at the intersection of Melton Highway Service Road and Stratheden Court in Sydenham.
"We're hoping that members of the public can help us piece together her last movements," Det Furhmeister said.
"And give us a clearer picture of the last days of her life."
Investigators are particularly interested in any sightings of Ms Ramadan on or after March 23.
There had been a number of unconfirmed sightings of the pensioner in the first week of April, but police have been unable to corroborate them.
