Anzac Day is almost upon us, and commemorations in Campbelltown this year are "not to be missed".
That's the view of Campbelltown RSL Sub-Branch president Dutchy Holland.
Mr Holland said he had high hopes the dawn and morning services at Mawson Park would attract plenty of kids this year.
"We've been growing with the children every year and this year Anzac Day falls in the school holidays, so we expect to see plenty of young people," he said.
"We have some naval officers at speakers from St Gregory's College Campelltown as special guests this year."
Mr Holland said Anzac Day always provided a wonderful opportunity for locals to "pay their respects to service men and women past and present".
He said the Sub-Branch worked closely with Campbelltown Council and local emergency services to ensure services went off without a hitch each year.
The dawn service will be held from 5.30am, followed by the march along Queen Street from 8.30am and morning service soon after.
Dawn services at the Ingleburn RSL Sub-Branch Memorial Garden will be held at 5am with two-up from 7am. The club itself opens at 6am.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park will hold an Anzac memorial service from 10.30am on April 24.
Macarthur Gardens Retirement Village will also be holding an early ceremony. The Campbelltown aged care home will run its Anzac service from 4.30pm (everyone to be seated by 4.15pm) on Easter Monday (March 22) at the village memorial site.
