Two Macarthur businesses have been crowned among the best in Australia at a recent national awards ceremony.
Crown Electrical Solutions and Crystele Homes - both based in Smeaton Grange - picked up top gongs in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards this month.
Crown was honoured in the Electrical Business category, while Crystele took out Home Builder/Renovations category.
Camden's Jordan Lawrence said he was proud the electrical business - which he co-owns with Jason Beaven - was recognised at this level.
"It's a great recognition for our staff who have put in a lot of work over the past 12 months and previous years," he said.
"It's a reflection of our work ethic and dedication."
Mr Lawrence said Crown had grown over the past seven years to be at the forefront of electrical businesses.
"We do everything from simple powerpoint installation to wiring up a block of 60 commercial and retail tenancies," he said.
"I think our success comes from our philosophy - we do what we say we're going to and we enjoy our jobs.
"It sounds simple, but it's important."
Mr Lawrence said he wanted to thank all Crown's customers for their support.
About 40 people work for the business, which operates between the south coast and the city.
Crystele Homes was founded by Daniel Lettieri in 2007 and has grown to be one of the region's premier home-building organisations.
The company is built on core values of honesty, integrity, respect, quality, passion and discipline.
"[We] cannot thank our clients, team and tradesmen enough for their support and trust over the years," the company posted on Facebook.
State Small Business minister Damien Tudehope congratulated all NSW winners on their achievements at the awards.
"You champions have done our state very proud," he said.
"These awards recognise the oustanding contributions of small businesses to our economy and great values including service, commitment, leadership, endurance, courage, innovation and generosity."
