Calling all comic book, Star Wars and pop culture fans - Campbelltown Library's famous Comic Book Day is back.
The event will be held at HJ Daley Library on Saturday, May 4.
Attendees are invited to dress up as their favourite characters and join in a light saber class this year.
Prizes are on offer for best cosplay costumes.
'Geek pop' singer Meri Amber, comic book artist Matthew Lin and the Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy will all be on hand to entertain guests young and old.
Heading outdoors, the Macarthur Weasleys Quidditch Club will host games of the fantastical sport.
Other attractions include an augmented reality Star Wars experience, Pokemon trading card gaming, superhero bingo, giveaways, face-painting, craft workshops, a Q&A with cosplay experts and a sausage sizzle.
Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic encouraged everyone to come along and enjoy the day.
"There are many levels of gaming and comic-related play from video games to engaging in physical activity and Campbelltown has a very healthy gaming and cosplay scene," he said.
"It's a pastime that blends creativity with mental agility and a real sense of fun.
"Also, unlike most cosplay events with expensive ticketing, this is entirely free to get in."
The event has been organised in partner ship with Campbelltown gaming and pop culture company Iconic Nerd.
Awards for best cosplay costume will be given in two categories - under-12s and over-13s.
Competitors must register before 11.30am on the day and should refer to the council's guidelines on cosplay dress and accessories at www.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/campbelltown-cosplayrules.
Comic Book Day is an all ages, family friendly event. Entry is free and no bookings are necessary.
