Camden state seat still undecided

Camden voters are unlikely to find out who their new state MP will be tonight.

Camden Labor candidate Sally Quinnell is refusing to concede defeat even though the ABC has called the seat a victory for the Liberal party.

Ms Quinnell told the Advertiser she would wait for preferences to be tallied.

"We're still hopeful - so we are just keeping our powder dry," she said.

Camden mayor and Liberal candidate Peter Sidgreaves currently holds 49.74 per cent of the vote with Ms Quinnell trailing behind at 26.31 per cent.

One of Australia's leading betting agencies, Sportsbet compiled odds on who was likely to win the Camden seat.

The Liberals were the almost unbeatable favourites at $1.13 with Labor at $5.50.

Mr Sidgreaves could not be reached for comment.
