2019 Secret Garden music festival shimmers and shines for the last time: Photos

After 11 years of glitter, art, creative costumes, music and good times, Brownlow Hill's Secret Garden has come to a close.

The popular music and art extravaganza has been a highlight of the festival calendar for locals and visitors alike.

This year's theme was 'Last Night in Paradise' which saw many revelers donning crowns, sailor's hats, swimwear, coloured wigs and bright colours.

Festival organisers posted to the event’s Facebook page last month to make the announcement that this year's Secret Garden would be the last.

“We have known for a long time that Secret Garden 2019 would be our last year,” the post said.

“We have always wanted to go out with a big bang and the stars have [aligned] for this year to be the perfect time to drop the mic and say, Secret Garden – 11 and out.

"As a wise person once said, always leave a party when you’re still having fun.”

Secret Garden attracted 4000 festival-goers this year.

Multiple people were charged with drug-related offences at the music festival over the weekend.

Police conducted a high visibility operation to target anti-social behaviour, alcohol-related crime and liquor licensing legislation.

A police search of more than 300 people detected MDMA, LSD and cannabis.
