Christmas shoppers in Campbelltown helped raise thousands of dollars for local children last year.
Kids of Macarthur Health Foundations gift wrapping appeal at Macarthur Square was a massive success and donations totalled $10,700 in just 22 days.
Charity chief executive Denise McGrath said Kids of Macrthur volunteers and staff worked 180 gift-wrapping shifts throughout the pre-Christmas period.
“I’m overwhelmed every year with the huge amount of support not only from Macarthur Square shoppers but also from our volunteers who give their time to us so we can raise these much-needed funds,” she said.
“Without our large group of loyal volunteers and the support from the team at Lend Lease and Macarthur Square we could not make this happen.
“We feel truly blessed to have so many people supporting our foundation.
“Hundreds of generous customers let us wrap their gifts for a gold coin donation and that money has gone directly towards purchasing much-needed paediatric medical equipment at Campbelltown and Camden hospitals.”
