Campbelltown police have launched an appeal for public assistance following an armed robbery in Minto on Monday night.

A man, allegedly armed with a firearm, entered the ALDI supermarket on Monaghan Street about 8pm on January 7.

A NSW Police Media spokeswoman said the man allegedly threatened staff members before stealing a sum of money and fleeing the scene.

No-one was hurt during the incident.

The spokeswoman said the accused offender was last seen on a motorbike with another man on Campbelltown Road, Minto.

“The motorbike is described as being red and black without number plates,” she said.

Campbelltown City Police Area Command officers have begun inquiries into the incident.
