Awards recognition has come Yvonne Strahovski’s way again, following the actresses nomination for a Golden Globe award on Friday.
The former Campbelltown resident was nominated for an Emmy Award earlier this year. The nominations come on the back of her work in The Handmaid’s Tale, a dystopian drama based on Margaret Atwood’s feminist book.
She will vie for best supporting actress in a TV series. Strahovski is up against Alex Borstein (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel), Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects), Penelope Cruz (The Assassination of Gianni Versace) and Thandie Newton (Westworld).
Strahovski is one of three Australians to be recognised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association – which runs the Golden Globes.
Nicole Kidman was nominated for best actress in a motion picture (drama) for her work in Destroyer, while Troye Sivan earned a best original song nod for his track Revelation.
