The Campbelltown Local Planning Panel has asked developers to provide more information on their proposal for a massive residential and mixed use development in Campbelltown.
Pacific Planning wants to develop the area surrounding the vacant Brands on Sale building on Queen Street into several towers to create a precinct with a “distinguished architectural design” and “demonstrated community benefits commensurate with... the opportunities provided by its location”.
The planning panel met last week to discuss the developers’ application to have height restrictions at 22-32 lifted.
Representatives of the applicant told panel members additional floors were needed at the site to make the public space elements of the precinct cost-effective for the developers.
Panellists offered their in-principle support for the precinct but told the applicants to order further studies before passing the proposal on to a Gateway determination.
