A teenager will face court today (Friday, November 9) over the armed robbery of brothels in Ingleburn and Villawood earlier this year.
Three men – one armed with a firearm – stormed a business on Birmingham Road, Villawood just before 2am on Monday, January 15 and threatened employees.
They stole cash and mobile phones and assaulted a 56-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries to his arms and lip.
In a separate incident, about 3am, three men – one armed with a firearm – entered a business on Lancaster Street, Ingleburn.
They threatened a 58-year-old male employee before taking cash and fleeing the scene.
Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives established Strike Force Moogerah to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
Detectives arrested an 18-year-old Ashcroft man on October 29. He was charged with two counts of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon.
The 18-year-old remains before the court.
Following further inquiries, police arrested a 17-year-old male at a Liverpool shopping centre yesterday (Thursday, November 8).
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with two counts of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon.
The boy was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.
