It’s the annual festival which is a little creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky (to borrow from The Addams Family) and it is ready to return to Campbelltown next month.
The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost will run from Friday, November 2 to Sunday, November 11.
One of the longest running community events in the country, the festival is inspired by the region’s most famous ghost story and offers a packed program of events.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Councillor George Brticevic, said this year’s festival was a celebration not to be missed and urged residents to get involved and be part of the fun.
“The Festival of Fisher’s Ghost is a wonderful celebration of Campbelltown’s community spirit and you’ll have lots of opportunities to get involved,’’ he said.
A highlight of the festival is the vibrant Twilight Street Parade which will travel down Queen Street on Saturday, November 3 at the new time of 7pm.
“Families are encouraged to line the street and watch, cheer and celebrate the diversity of our community and our rich history as the parade floats and community groups travel down the road,’’ Cr Brticevic said.
