A man has faced court over an alleged crime spree which included theft from a Gregory Hills hardware store.
The 48-year-old man allegedly stole items from the Rodeo Road store earlier this year.
He was arrested on Wednesday near Newcastle over alleged traffic and larceny offences committed in Sydney’s south-west.
The man, who purports to be a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang, was taken to Newcastle Police Station where he was charged with 15 counts of driving while disqualified and two counts of larceny.
Police allege the man drove his ute through several Macarthur suburbs including Gregory Hills, Denham Court and Edmondson Park, despite being disqualified from driving until 2039.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Newcastle Local Court yesterday. He was again refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday, October 18.
Police investigations continue into the matter.
