All eyes will be on Usain Bolt when he takes the field for the Central Coast Mariners at Campbelltown Sports Stadium tonight (Friday, October 12).

The Mariners confirmed this morning that Bolt is in the starting line-up for the A-League pre-season match.

Wearing jumper number 95, Bolt will start up front as the Mariners face a South West National Premier League Invitational team at 7.30pm, with gates opening from 6.30pm.

The south-west Sydney team includes former Mariners midfielder Glen Trifiro and Macarthur Rams veteran Mark Symington.

Sprinter-turned-soccer player Bolt is attempting to secure a contract with the Mariners ahead of the 2018/19 A-League season.

Tonight’s game is the final pre-season trail before the season begins on October 19.

On the Mariners’ Facebook page, Bolt said the Campbelltown game was crucial for his future prospects at the club.

“This is going to be a big game, I think it will determine if the club makes up its mind on what to do with my career,” he said.

“For me, it’s a very important game. It’s exciting that the coach is satisfied with my fitness I’ve put in.

“To be in the starting line-up is always a big step so I’m just happy that I get that chance. I’m just going to do my best because that’s the key thing.”

More than 3500 tickets have been sold for tonight’s game at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Tickets to the game start at $10 from ticketek.com.au.
