Campbelltown Golf Club has been recognised as one of NSW’s best golf clubs.

Campbelltown is a finalist in the NSW Golf Industry Awards’ Metropolitan Club of the Year category.

The Macarthur facility is up against Manly, Long Reef and Stonecutters Ridge golf clubs.

Golf NSW CEO Stuart Fraser said all four clubs were terrific examples of being vital assets to their local communities.

“Healthy clubs help make healthy communities,” he said.

“These finalists all display a level of commitment to their community and pride in being a representative of our wonderful game.”

Campbelltown Golf Club has achieved a three per cent membership and about a 15 per cent rise in total rounds played.

Revenue is growing and the club has managed to reduce operating costs by 7 per cent.

The club works closely with the local schools in Macarthur.

The Metropolitan Club of the Year winner will be announced at the NSW Golf Industry Awards night on October 22 at Marsfield’s Curzon Hall.
