All difficult and awkward discussions for Macarthur men will be on the table soon.

A new program called Sorted! aims to teach life skills to local men.

The free course will begin on Friday, August 17 at Eagle Vale Anglican Church and will run for 13 weeks.

Sorted! will cover a range of topics, from how to understand your emotions through to anger management and how to maintain healthy relationships.

It is the fifth time that Sorted! has been held in south-west Sydney, with previous sessions held in Macquarie Fields and Liverpool.

The course has been organised by Eagle Vale Anglican Church assistant pastor, Reverend Steven Thurgar and St Luke’s Liverpool community chaplain, Reverend Stuart Woods.

Reverends Thurgar and Woods are both sponsors in the Work and Development Order (WDO) scheme.

WDO supports people who have a mental illness, physical disability or come a socially disadvantaged background.

However, Reverend Thugar said the Sorted! course was designed to equip men from all backgrounds to make wise life choices.

“We will cover topics that we men should talk more about,” he said.

“The course is so valuable because a lot of men don't have the skills that we generally take for granted.”

Reverend Thurgar said preparations were on track for the 2018 course.

“The course is ready to go and the feedback has been very enthusiastic so far,” he said.

“There is a great need for a course like this in the area.”

Reverend Thurgar said all men were welcome to take part in the course.

The program will begin on August 17 and will be held each Friday from 10am to 12.30pm at Eagle Vale Anglican Church.

The church is located at 1 Emerald Drive, Eagle Vale.
