An “invaluable” Macarthur mental health facility has received a much-needed leg up.

Officeworks Campbelltown recently ran a fundraising campaign to support local charity Beautiful Minds.

The “Round Up To Make A Difference” program helped generate more than $800.

The nationwide initiative encourages customers to make a small donation towards charity when they purchase items at Officeworks.

Officeworks Campbelltown store manager Jimmy Margaris presented an $822 cheque to Beautiful Minds founder Sandra McDonald last Friday.

Ms McDonald said the funds would go to the Gna Ka Lun youth mental health in-patient unit at Campbelltown Hospital.

She said the money would go towards running workshops for patients and to continue to improve the unit’s courtyard.

“The unit is for eight to 16-year-olds and they help hundreds of kids every year,” she said.

“Gna Ka Lun is an invaluable resource.”

Ms McDonald thanked Officeworks Campbelltown for supporting Beautiful Minds.

"It's fantastic, any money we can get it is so valued.”
