Firefighters work to contain grass fire in Luddenham on July 13

Firefighters have have started to contain a grass fire in Luddenham on Friday afternoon.

Fire crews were called out to a blaze near Campbell Street about 3.30pm.

NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) and Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) brigades attended the scene.

According to the NSW RFS Fires Near Me website, the blaze is now under control.

Firefighting crews are responding to a grass fire in Luddenham on Friday afternoon.

NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) and Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) brigades were called out to a blaze near Campbell Street about 3.30pm on July 13.

The fire is burning towards a service station.

NSW RFS and FRNSW crews are working to protect assets in the area.

The NSW RFS has issued an ‘Advice’ alert level on its Fires Near Me website.

The Advice level means that a fire has broken out, but there is no immediate damage to nearby properties.

No homes are currently under threat and firefighters are working hard to contain the blaze.

There are no road closures, but smoke may reduce visibility for traffic in the surrounding areas.
