NSW Police investigate robbery on Riverside Drive

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at Airds on Sunday.

About 7.45am on November 5, a man with his face covered and armed with what appeared to be a firearm approached a 46-year-old woman outside a newsagency on Riverside Drive.

Police were told the man forced the woman into the shop.

The man then jumped the counter and demanded cash from the shop keeper, a 54-year-old woman, who was unable to comply with the demand.

The man stole cigarettes and a small amount of coins.

He was last seen running along Riverside Drive.

Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command attended and began their investigations.

The officers would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as having a thin build, about 175 to 180 cm tall and was last seen wearing black clothing and a balaclava.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Campbelltown Police on (02) 4620 1199 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
