Teenage boy taken to hospital following pedestrian incident in Mt Annan

Police are appealing for witnesses following a pedestrian incident in Mt Annan on Sunday morning.

About 1.30am on Sunday, a 17-year-old girl was driving a Suzuki Swift in the car park of a shopping centre in Mt Annan.

The driver began speaking to a group of men in the car park.

One of the men, a 17-year-old, jumped on the bonnet of the Swift.

The driver moved her vehicle forward a short distance before braking, causing the teenage boy to fall to the ground.

The teenage boy suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.

The injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The female driver was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and conducted inquiries.
