Cody Walker visit raises thousands

The #Drive4Paul charity event which visited United Cinema Narellan last week raised $40,000.

The money will be used to fund disaster relief efforts all over the world through the late Paul Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.

Paul’s brother Cody met with fans and collected donations before a charity screening of the latest Fast and Furious film.

United Cinemas Australia Chairman Roy Mustaca presented Cody with cheque for $40,000.

The funds were raised by fans of Paul Walker and the movie franchise as well as donations from United Cinemas Australia over the Easter weekend at Drive4Paul car cruises, Show4Paul car shows and movie premieres of Fast and Furious 8 at United Cinemas.

Fast and Furious 8: The Fate of The Furious has earned the biggest box office opening weekend in cinema history.

The film starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Charlize Theron has taken in excess of $700,000,000 in ticket sales, putting it on track to overtake Fast and Furious 7 which is currently the sixth biggest grossing movie of all time behind Avatar, Titanic, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World and Marvel’s The Avengers

The Fate of The Furious could well go on to be the highest grossing movie of all time and its producer and lead actor Vin Diesel is looking at filming Fast and Furious 9 in Australia.

Cody Walker will reportedly meet with Diesel next week to push the advantages of shooting in Australia.
