Superheroes, wizards turn out

Campbelltown locals donned their best comic costumers at the weekend to celebrate HJ Daley Library’s Free Comic Book Day.

Free Comic Book day is an annual event held on the first Saturday in May and sees comic book shops around the world team up with publishers to give away millions of comic books.

The library worked with Kings Comic in Sydney to be part of the worldwide event, with giveaways, character meet-and-greets, games and comic art lessons from Matt Lin, creator of The Fish Boy and Squid Girl Chronicles.

Kids and adults alike dressed as Batman, Superman, Captain America, the Hulk and even Chewbacca and some even took part in a friendly game of quidditch.

More pictures from the day are available on the Campbelltown City Library Facebook page.
