There are different courses for all levels and experiences.
Event organiser Stephen Wagner said all ages could take part in the event with hilly grass, bush and forest trails.
“All levels of skill and capability can compete in different courses ranging from easy, moderate and hard,” he said.
“I have been orienteering for over 30 years and I get so much joy out of being outside and applying my skills of reading a map and navigating between two points.”
Mr Wagner said competitors were advised to take their time and work out the shortest path rather than run like the tortoise and hare tale.
“We want to promote the sport and we encourage people to come along and give orienteering a go,” he said.
Registration starts at 9.30am. It costs $10 per person.
