IT'S a dilemma faced by year 12 students each year - what to do with their major projects once they've been marked and returned.

Natalie Wadwell, a first year arts theory student at the College of Fine Arts, has come up with a solution: show the works in a local exhibition for the community to enjoy.

Ms Wadwell, pictured, who completed year 12 at Ingleburn High School last year, said the exhibition at Macarthur Square in February was an opportunity for the community to "value the art-making experience".

"This is a great way for people to appreciate the process. A lot of hard work goes into these projects and showcasing them is something we have not seen in Macarthur before," she said.

Graduating students need to email a photo of their work to Ms Wadwell by December 14 to be part of the exhibition Stepping Up which opens for one week from February 21.

A People's Choice award will be judged on the opening night.
