Benji Marshall has been named one of five Wests Tigers co-captains for the 2018 season.
New recruits Josh Reynolds and Russell Packer as well as club veterans Elijah Taylor and Chris Lawrence – who was also a Campbelltown junior – round out the quintet.
Marshall rejoined the club where he won a premiership 2005, following stints at the Brisbane Broncos and the St George Illawarra Dragons.
He originally left the black, white and orange for rugby union in New Zealand.
Packer joined the club, alongside fellow New Zealand international Ben Matulino, to form a new starting front-row pair following the departures of former captain Aaron Woods to the Canterbury Bulldogs and Ava Seumanufagai to the Cronulla Sharks.
Coach Ivan Cleary said he believed it would “work best to spread the role” rather than have one lone captain.
“When we started this preseason it was pretty obvious straight away that there was no real pecking order,” he said.
“There was no set culture to adhere to. It was all new.
“That was what I wanted it to be like and that’s just how it panned out.”
