Thousands of revellers gathered at Narellan Town Centre last weekend to herald the start of the festive season at the Christmas in Narellan event.
The Greater Narellan Business Chamber event featured rides, live entertainment and a visit from Santa himself.
Chamber president Maria Scattergood said the event was a great success.
“We had a really good turn out, the weather was great, the vendors were happy – everyone had a fantastic time,” she said.
“There were a lot of people taking advantage of the rides, I think they were a real hit with the kids.
“People also seemed to enjoy the Christmas craft marquees which is something different we did this year.”
The event was hosted by television personality Jay Laga'aia.
This year’s headline act was Camden local and The Voice 2016 winner Alfie Arcuri.
He was accompanied by other local artists including James Cassar, The Mik Maks, Christopher Booth and Christie Lamb.
“Alfie was very popular with the crowd,” Mrs Scattergood said.
“Everyone seemed to enjoy the singalong and hearing all of the carols.”
Visitors also enjoyed the range of market and food stalls at the event.
“We are really pleased that we are able to put this free event on for local families,” Mrs Scattergood said.
“The crowd was really good and we have had a lot of great feedback.”
The Christmas in Narellan planning committee have already started preparing for next year’s event.
