Dog-owners have a new destination to take their four-legged friends with the opening of a park at Willowdale.
Dogwood Park was launched at the Stockland-owned Denham Court estate this month.
The off-leash park, found at the corner of Elkhorn Street and Willowdale Drive, caters for dogs big and small and the opening was a fundraiser for the Stockland CARE Foundation.
Funds were donated to Redkite and the Touched by Olivia Foundation.
Stockland general manager of residential communities NSW Richard Rhydderch said he was delighted by the large crowd who utilised the park at its grand opening.
“Our new off-leash dog park provides a wonderful opportunity for residents and their pooches to have some healthy fun in the great outdoors,” he said.
“This is a dedicated place for dog lovers in our community to connect with other like-minded people and make new friends.
The opening event included a Scooby Doo jumping castle for the kids, face-painting, hot dog sales and an interactive dog behaviour demonstration, giving guests obedience tips and tricks for their pooches.
