A man has been rescued from the water at Dolans Bay this morning.
Emergency services were called to Wally’s Wharf off Port Hacking Road at 11am after reports of a car going into water.
Officers were joined by a NSW Police boat after the car was seen fully submerged.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said two men were rescued from the water.
The younger man, 25, is believed to have injured himself while smashing open one of the cars windows.
He was taken to Sutherland Hospital in a stable condition with cuts to his hands.
The older man, believed to be in aged in his 50s, underwent a mental health assessment before being taken to hospital.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said investigations into how the car ended up in the water are continuing.
