Love your lilies? Fancy your ferns? Worship your wattles?
You’re in luck, with entries for the 2017 Campbelltown Garden Competition now open.
The annual competition celebrates the very best gardens in the Campbelltown local government area and promotes the beautification of the region.
Campbelltown acting mayor Meg Oates said the competition was a great opportunity for residents across Campbelltown to show off their patch of paradise and play a vital role in instilling a sense of pride in their city.
“Campbelltown has many keen gardeners and I’m glad the council is able to host this popular competition, inspiring residents to share their beautiful gardens and innovative gardening ideas,” she said.
“There are some excellent prizes up for grabs, and I would encourage both novices and those with more experience to start preparing their gardens for this year’s competition.”
Residents can compete in a range of categories for a prize pool of $5000.
Schools and businesses are also invited to take part in the competition.
Entries close on Monday, September 4. Judging will take place on September 12 and 13 to allow flowers to reach full bloom.
